Bill and I at work. I have ended up doing a lot of laundry at the camp. They have a 20 room lodge which is very modern and popular with campers so most Mondays are laundry days. The campground has other buildings that are used on weekends so they can accomodate over 100 guests which can create a lot of work for me.

Bill helping to put in the machines for the newly build laundry room. This room also has an upper room which is meant for the "ROAMERS" to use for devotions and meetings. I will be telling more about that later. Bill also had to completely move a bathroom from the north side of the building to the west side. He worked with Duane Morford while I worked with Jean Morford. We enjoyed them while they were with us at Scottsville. They left mid April to go to Alaska to work at Camp Maranatha. Bill and I hope to do that next summer.

It is so hard to believe but we have been in Texas 2 months. We have been very busy and time just seems to fly by. I had intended to keep the blog updates but as you can see that doesn't always happen. As I add pictures I will explain some of what we are doing. We have missed our friends and yet feel so blessed as we follow our Lord and work for Him.

As you drive into the campground you drive through the metal gates created by Carl who is also a "Roamer".

Above you can see our home parked where it is until June 4th or 5th. Then we will move it to Missouri.

Bill and I enjoyed our time with them and hope to return next year.

Lake Placid grounds have some large and beautiful buildings.

The highlight of our 2 months in Lake Placid was the visit from Geraldine, Gabby and Abby in January. They spent a week with us, the coldest week Florida experienced this year. Lucky for them. They said it was warmer than Dannemora! We went to Arabian Nights and saw a really nice dinner show which had many beautiful horses. Abby especially liked it but all of us enjoyed the evening. We spent the night in Orlando and spent the next day at Disneyquest which is a 5 story building full of reality games and arcade things. It was a great day. We stretched our legs sometimes and walked through downtown Disney. It was a great day and we arrived back in Lake Placid tired but happy.

While at camp Bill and Gabby went fishing but were not able to catch anything that day. The girls went swimming and rode bike on the grounds. It was like spring and summer here and we feel like it was a great time for all. Unfortunately they had to head back to upper NY and snow. Boy we do not miss that but we miss them. Thanks for coming down. See you down here next year we hope!!

Harry and Darlene Oliver live in Fort Myers. It was wonderful getting together with them. Darlene treated us to an 8 mile bike ride(did I say I needed more exercize?).

The golf cart was parked next to the tennis court in the complex. If you look carefully you can see it is a "Hummer". Imagine paying 8 thousand or more for a golf cart??

While in Florida we have the privilege of visiting those who have taken up residence here. We spent a weekend with Steve and Clara. Clara is Bill's aunt(Theresa's sister). It was a wonderful weekend. We were treated like royalty. We went to a flea market and I finally found a bike for me. That is good as we have too much good food at the campgrounds so...........well-enough said.

The building are beautiful and we have this very large cactus along with many palm trees as well as trees laden with spanish moss which looks a little like a mans beard. We heard a funny thing about the spanish moss. It is said that Henry Ford thought it would be an inexpensive stuffing for the seats of his model T. It resulted in the first vehicle recall as the moss is the habitat of some small insects which created much itching for the passengers.

We go from working on the buildings by painting etc. to working on each other. Verla is cutting hair and Anne is doing laundry. In Lake Placid we are fortunate as we have laundry facilities available to us.

But cuttings trees from a truck in a bucket named DUMBO is a bit much. The work was done successfully and DUMBO was enlisted in some other duties.

Grandkids and Christmas What a blessing they are. We had a wonderful time with them. It may be a while before we get back to New York. Keeping them in our prayers.

Emily and Sophie with cousin Joshua at Lola's house. My family (most of them) met at Lola's house for Christmas Eve. It was nice and yet a little sad as we all missed our mom's presence.

There were over 20 people gathered at Lola's for our Christmas Eve celebration. We had great food and lots of fun with the kids. Mindy gave me a special gift-an angel pin. I was so touched by that. She and Josh and my brother Tim (their dad) were struggling with this being the first Christmas without Kim.

Bill and I left Plattsburgh on Christmas day to travel and celebrate with Jason and Jessica, Steve and Tammie and our grandchildren.

My favorite brother Paul. He's a new daddy and Sophie is a doll. Emily, her mom, says she is a great baby. I got to hold her for as long as I wanted!
